Moving on to the prints, David gave us some excellent comments about every one that had been placed, and said how hard it had been to judge both competitions as the standard was so high.
In the end he said he just went with the ones that he himself liked, and that he would have on his wall at home! As there was only sixteen prints to choose from, David awarded two Highly Commended, these went to Brigitte Appleton with “Bit of a Boat”, and “Moody Fox” by Mandy Hedley. Third Place went to Jamie Welsh with Sofia Rembrandt Metallica, Second Place to Mandy Hedley and “Green Iguana” and First Place went to Lesley Hudspith with “Harbour Wall”.
What a night for her, and Harbour Wall was also chosen as the Image of the Year too! Big congratulations to all authors of the prints that were entered, a fantastic standard and great evening all round. Big thanks to David Ord for his judging, hilarity, humour and excellent insights.
