We had our AGM on Tuesday 27th June to give all members a rundown of where we are at and how the club is performing. What an excellent turnout we had, most members came along to support us and to give us their input on how they would like their club ran. Lots of things were discussed, the club remains healthy and with the influx of new members, should remain so.
I would just like to thank the following people, Jacqui Turnbull for her excellent organisation and making sure we are all doing the right things, Dave Bilclough as he steps down from Treasurer (thanks for your hard work over this season, Dave), Jen Page as she takes up her new position as Treasurer, Gerry Adcock for filling the role of External Competition Secretary, Keith Kirkland who has become a committee member, Lawrence Brown who checks our accounts so thoroughly (we really appreciate it) Tracey Ainsley who steps down from her role as Social Media Secretary (big thanks Tracey) and of course, the rest of the committee who do a fantastic job of overseeing the club. We look forward to the new season starting in September, and to seeing all members returning.
Because we had an overlap, the Presentation Evening was held on Tuesday June 6th. We had a good turnout, except for the overall winner (Lesley) who unfortunately was away on holiday that week. But everyone enjoyed the buffet and banter and those who came away with trophies and certificates were really pleased, and so a great night was had by all. Here’s to the next one!
