Winlaton Trophy PDI Competition Results

It was our Winlaton Trophy Results Evening this week, which comprises of both prints and PDI’s. This is a competition for those members who haven’t won a trophy in the past two seasons, for new members or for those who are not so confident about their photography… they can have their efforts critiqued by an external judge, the same as our main competitions. We find that this can give those members willing to learn, an invaluable lesson in composition, technique, framing and how to improve their efforts. This was the PDI’s turn, and along to judge it for us was one of our favourites, Glen Lawson from Gateshead Camera Club. Glen brought his usual humour, insights and constructive criticism and with lots of member interaction, he gave us his favourite images from this part of the competition. Coming away with Highly Commendeds were Barry Singh, Keith Kirkland, Les Hill and Gordon Murray, while the top three places went to Dave Bilclough in 3rd Place, Tracey Ainsley in 2nd Place and out on top was Dave Bilclough again! So congratulations to Dave and all who were placed, and well done to all who entered.
