We were treated to a masterclass in black and white processing tonight, and how interesting to see how a professional does it! We learned all about Camera Raw, processing in Photoshop as opposed to Lightroom and taken right back to the beginning to look at what the sliders do and how it can affect your finished image. Paul showed us how to check exposure, bring out details in the shadows and handle the lightest parts of the image to bring back details, and the dreaded curves button featured too. A neat little trick was to use the sliders as opposed to the graph, this seemed to make the changes easier. A very interesting and informative evening, and I’m certain our members took away some ideas of their own from it. Thanks so much Paul… it was brilliant!
