We had a FANTASTIC evening in the shape of Bill Ward and his amazing Scottish Landscapes and innovative ICM images on Tuesday gone! We had a feeling it was going to be a busy one, and busy it was, seeing the whole room full was fantastic for us and also for Bill too. We had folk in from Winlaton, Durham, Castleside, Gateshead, Ryton, Whickham and Hexham, and lots of chatter and good feelings could be heard around the room. Mandy got the evening underway in introducing Bill, and a fantastic job she did too! Then Bill did his stuff… omg, how inspirational were his images, beautiful slow shutter scenes of the top west coast of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides, it certainly showed the area to it’s full potential. The raffle was at half time while Bill took a breather, and lots of happy people in the room coming down to claim a prize or two… Dave Bilclough’s table, saying nowt!!! Bill then moved on to telling us about his newest project, ICM and showed us what and how he achieved the images he’s shot. Super creative, but expensive, he was saying that he’s broken 4 cameras in the space of a year! Lots of folk coming to tell Bill and us how much they had enjoyed the evening once it was all over, and a huge round of applause for Bill, was made.
Big thanks to Mandy for booking Bill, and the fantastic introductions, Tracey for doing the raffle, Vera & Barry for taking money on the door, and Dave for standing in as Treasurer for Jen, as she’s away on her holidays. Thanks too for all members who contributed towards the raffle, we had a stack of prizes, and to all those who came along to support the club and make our guests feel welcome too. What a night!
